The Chilcote Surgery operates from premises at the Dewerstone Practice in St Marychurch and Chatto Practice in the Westhill area of Torquay following the merger of the two Practices some years ago.   The Practice has eight GP partners.

The Nursing Team consists of Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants who work alongside the Doctors, providing a full range of nursing and health promotion services, in addition to co-ordinating the various clinics run by the Practice.

We have a full complement of attached staff, including Community Nurses, Health Visitor, Midwife and Mental Health Counsellors.  The Practice has a wide range of diagnostic equipment, enabling us to provide a comprehensive in-house service.

Our reception and administrative staff perform a vital role within the Practice, and they work hard to provide a friendly and efficient service to our patients.

We have ramp access for disabled persons, and all consulting rooms are at ground floor level.  There is a bell at both surgeries for assistance and toilet facilities are also available.  At the Dewerstone Practice there is a self check-in machine. There is a pay and display car park opposite the Dewerstone Practice, and parking on double yellow lines is allowed in winter, from 1 October to 30 April.  There is limited short-stay parking at the surgery including a driveway for disabled patients only.  At Chatto Practice there is a larger car park available for patient use.

A Sign Translate service is available for deaf patients, and patients may choose to use a confidential translation service if English is not their first language.

The Practice is registered under the Data Protection Act and Care Quality Commission.  Clinical information and registration details are recorded to assist us in providing you with better medical care.  In order to maintain accurate records we would ask you to tell us of any change in your particulars, i.e. name, address, telephone number, etc.
