Free Yoga Wellbeing Group

This is a FREE Yoga Wellbeing course where Step One as a Charity partners with the Devon Mental Health Alliance. The course is 6-week in nature, located at the Shekinah Grow Charity venue, opposite the 2nd entrance for Occombe Farm which sells lovely coffee and has an amazing farm shop. Every participant receives a free journal and booklet outlining the intricoes of the course.

Yoga has substantial benefits from:-

Reducing anxiety and nervousness to reducing the like hood and prevalence of chronic conditions.  To helping out Motor Skills from coordination of the bodies moving to reaction and changing direction.  It is muscle conditioning and strengthening as it challenges the bodies balance and were carried out well builds up the axial skeleton so that the appendicular skeleton moves in a more controlled fashion.  Breathing techniques are known for calming down the body into the parasympathetic nervous system.  Exercises increase tidal flow during advanced inhalation and exhalation meaning the arteries become more elasticated so that lungs become healthier, and the transportation of low-density lipoprotein reduces unhealthy fats in the body.  Meditation can encourage mindfulness, raise awareness and make listeners more purposeful and driven.

Each session follows Fitness Principles.
