After much consideration and debate, we have decided to change our system for pre-booking GP phone calls.
Until recently you will have been able to book a phone-call with a GP, up to six weeks in advance, via patient access or the NHS app.
This has nearly led to serious, time sensitive, health concerns being missed as they may not be looked at by the GP until the day of the appointment.
From Monday 2nd October, we ask that if you would like to book an appointment online, in advance, that you use the E-consult link on our website: Chilcote Econsult(accurx.com)
You can request specific GP’s and dates for your appointment and more importantly, it will allow the GP to have all the information in advance to catch potentially serious health concerns.
We understand this may be frustrating for some of our patients, but it was a considered decision made with patient safety in mind.
Thank you for your understanding,
